Employment Opportunity: Direct Care Worker
          Part Time, Full Time

Description: Direct Care Workers (DCW) at Beacon House provide a safe place for our adolescent female residents. This position offers excellent experience for applicants interested in pursuing a career in special education, psychology, social work, or any human services field.

DCWs are expected to:
                  – supervise and mentor residents,
                  – provide basic living skills training for individual residents and for groups,
                  – implement behavior management plans, and
                  – document services provided.

Rotating holiday, weekend, and overnight shifts are required.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED

A helping services degree or program enrollment (psychology, social work, human development, family studies, etc.) is strongly preferred.

Please be aware that our hiring process requires an Alabama driver’s license, mandated background checks, drug screen, health physical, TB test, and CPR and CPI certification.

Supports are based in a positive discipline approach and individualized for each child and their developmental level.
